Good to know

Before you come in

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Both. Gossip By Songul welcomes walk-ins, but for colour, highlights or a busy Saturday it's worth calling ahead on 020 7923 2350 so Songul can set aside the time.
Where exactly are you, and how do I get there?
On the corner at 93 Dalston Lane, London E8 2NG, marked by the black-and-pink shopfront. It's about a minute's walk from Dalston Junction (Overground) and close to Dalston Kingsland, with plenty of buses along Kingsland High Street.
How much is a cut and blow-dry?
Prices depend on your hair and what you're after, so they're always confirmed with you in the salon before anything starts. There's also a student wash, cut and blow-dry from £20, Monday to Friday. Call 020 7923 2350 for the full price list.
Do you do colour and highlights?
Yes. Full-head colour, root tints, foils and highlights are all done in the salon, and regulars rate the results. Songul will talk through what will suit you and your hair first.
What days are you open?
Seven days a week: Monday to Saturday 9am to 7pm, and Sunday 10am to 5pm. Hours can vary on holidays, so a quick call confirms it.
Notes to confirm with the owner (remove before launch)
These are placeholders and open questions for the first call, not shown as customer copy elsewhere:
  • Full price list for cut, colour, highlights and blow-dry (only the £20 student Mon–Fri wash-cut-blowdry is published, from the window sign).
  • WhatsApp / mobile number. The listed line is a landline (020), so no WhatsApp button is shown. If there's a mobile for bookings, we'll add a WhatsApp CTA.
  • Whether the salon also offers wider beauty treatments (waxing, threading, brows). Google lists it as a beauty salon, but reviews only evidence hair, so the site sticks to hair services.
  • Stylist names/spellings (Songul; "Philis"/"Phyllis" appears both ways in reviews) and years established (a regular mentions 5+ years).
  • Opening hours (pulled live from Google: Mon–Sat 9–7, Sun 10–5).
  • Preferred booking method (walk-in vs call vs Instagram DM) and whether to add online booking.
